Workshop Sessions Overview

Relationships 101 - Dr James A. Mourey, DePaul University

This session is designed to introduce participants to the science of strong relationships, as well as to educate about relationship-building “assets” and “liabilities.” Participants have the optional to complete the RelatEDTM diagnostic prior to the event to assess their respective strengths and limitations with respect to developing the kinds of relationships that enhance professional and personal experiences.

Participants can learn more about the RelatED diagnostic assessment here, and officially complete the assessment here

In follow-up reviews, prior seminar attendees have remarked life-changing results stemming from the insights and perspectives provided; even entire work teams have reported better workplace environments.

Evolution of E/BRGs - Scott Hoesman, inQuest Consulting

Panelists: Bernadette Smith (Equality Institute), BP, US Foods

This session will engage attendees in a robust and candid real-time discussion focused on the responsibilities, challenges and opportunities of E/BRG leaders in these challenging times. This session will feature an interactive panel of leading B/ERG practitioners from DEI best practice companies.

Intersectionality/Working with Diverse B/ERG Partners - Scott Hoesman, inQuest Consulting

Navigating effective E/BRG partnerships are complex, especially when considering the difficult nature of the topics often at the center of the partnership (i.e. race, gender, gender-identity, sexual orientation, etc.). In this session, we will explore how to better understand and support one another to work toward the same goal – allyship and inclusion.

Community Engagement & ERG Partnerships - Susana Meza, Wintrust Corporation

Panelists: Danya Rosen (Chicago Run) & Channyn Lynne Parker (Howard Brown Health)

Trivia - Stew Jamesson, Stewpendous Productions

Stew Jamesson of Stewpendous Productions is thrilled to bring additional fun to your function with some trivia ballyhoo. Stew has performed around the country including several years at Walt Disney Entertainment. Since moving to Chicago he has been creating customized trivia shows for corporate and at home events. This trivia isn’t about how smart you are it is about celebrating nostalgia, putting a pause on our daily responsibilities and most importantly having fun.
