DESCRIPTION:Join the LGBT Chamber of Commerce at our annual roundtable to engage and network with its Corporate Partners and their PRIDE ERG leaders. The workshop is limited to no more than 2 representatives per company. Attendees should be leaders of their PRIDE E/BRG or leaders of their company's diversity & inclusion council \n\n\n\nSponsors: BP\, inQuest Consulting\, Stewpendous Productions\n\n\n\nZoom Background Challenge: Represent Your Company/ERG\n\n\n\n\n\nOptional Pre-Networking Event\n\nGuests will have the opportunity to come together for pre-networking on October 21st\, 12 - 1pm. This will be a free format conversation for ERGs to connect and share ideas. \n\n \nWorkshop Sessions Overview\n\n\n\nRelationships 101 - Dr James A. Mourey\, DePaul University \n\nThis session is designed to introduce participants to the science of strong relationships\, as well as to educate about relationship-building "assets" and "liabilities." Participants have the optional to complete the RelatEDTM diagnostic prior to the event to assess their respective strengths and limitations with respect to developing the kinds of relationships that enhance professional and personal experiences.\n \n\nParticipants can learn more about the RelatED diagnostic assessment here\, and officially complete the assessment here. \n\nIn follow-up reviews\, prior seminar attendees have remarked life-changing results stemming from the insights and perspectives provided\; even entire work teams have reported better workplace environments.\n\nEvolution of E/BRGs - Scott Hoesman\, inQuest Consulting\n\nPanelists: Bernadette Smith (Equality Institute)\, BP\, US Foods\n\nThis session will engage attendees in a robust and candid real-time discussion focused on the responsibilities\, challenges and opportunities of E/BRG leaders in these challenging times. This session will feature an interactive panel of leading B/ERG practitioners from DEI best practice companies.\n\n \n\nIntersectionality/Working with Diverse B/ERG Partners - Scott Hoesman\, inQuest Consulting\n\nNavigating effective E/BRG partnerships are complex\, especially when considering the difficult nature of the topics often at the center of the partnership (i.e. race\, gender\, gender-identity\, sexual orientation\, etc.). In this session\, we will explore how to better understand and support one another to work toward the same goal allyship and inclusion.\n \n\nCommunity Engagement & ERG Partnerships - Susana Meza\, Wintrust Corporation\n\nPanelists: Danya Rosen (Chicago Run) & Channyn Lynne Parker (Howard Brown Health)\n \n\nTrivia - Stew Jamesson\, Stewpendous Productions\n\nStew Jamesson of Stewpendous Productions is thrilled to bring additional fun to your function with some trivia ballyhoo. Stew has performed around the country including several years at Walt Disney Entertainment. Since moving to Chicago he has been creating customized trivia shows for corporate and at home events. This trivia isn't about how smart you are it is about celebrating nostalgia\, putting a pause on our daily responsibilities and most importantly having fun.
