Job Seekers and Businesses are Invited!

Illinois workNet partnered with Illinois LGBT Chamber of Commerce (LGBTCC) and Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) to hold a multi-employer informational session highlighting LGBTQ+ friendly businesses throughout the state!

This is an inclusive virtual event for job seekers to hear from three hiring employers about current job openings and experiences. Businesses are invited to learn about LGBTCC, services offered by the Chamber, and work being done for the LGBTQ+ community; DCEO will provide information about the Business Interruption Grant (BIG) Program. There will be time for Q&A!

The LGBT Chamber of Commerce of Illinois brings LGBT and LGBT-friendly businesses together with a mission to promote economic opportunities for the LGBTQ+ community. The LGBTCC fosters pride serving the community being an advocate and resource for all member businesses that encourage equality, increasing awareness, and encourages businesses and individuals as a support system. LGBTCC is a voice for the LGBTQ+ community based out of Chicago.

The Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity leads economic development efforts for the state. With a focus on retaining and creating jobs, DCEO supports and maintains a strong economy for Illinois by keeping, attracting, and growing businesses; maintaining a skilled workforce; and enhancing communities to succeed. DCEO provides economic opportunities for businesses, entrepreneurs, and residents that improve the quality of life and communities across Illinois.
