Event Description:

Every January, the beginning of the year ushers in the possibility of new beginnings and many people mark it in one of two ways: (1) making resolutions and (2) creating a vision-board. By February, those good intentions are collecting dust and withering from inaction.

Our Planning Makes Perfect session turns the concept of New Year’s resolutions and vision-boards on its head for emerging entrepreneurs. Moving beyond wishful thinking, participants will have the guided assistance in transforming their ideas for their potential business into steps that drive action toward their goals.  Attendees will craft mission and vision statements for their business, identify their target customer and market, and assess the obstacles present and resources needed for their undertaking. Participants will walk away with more than just the dream of a new business; they will have a more concrete concept of their venture and the initial components of the plan to get them there.
