Cook County Commissioner Kevin Morrison
Commissioner Kevin Morrison had an historic election win in 2018, becoming the first openly
LGBTQ person to be elected to the Cook County Board. Morrison represents the 15th District of
Cook County. Once sworn into office, he established a committee to make recommendations on addressing bias, equity, and cultural competency in County government. Morrison is working on legislation to support LGBTQ people living in Cook County, including updating the Human Rights Ordinance to be more
inclusive of transgender and gender non-conforming individuals and to establish an LGBT
